We are seeking a skilled and innovative Formulation Expert with over 12–15 years of experience in the development of herbal, nutraceutical, or cosmetic formulations — responsible for end-to-end formulation development, from ideation to scale-up and commercial transfer.
Job summary
We are seeking a skilled and innovative Formulation Expert with over 12–15 years of experience in the development of herbal, nutraceutical, or cosmetic formulations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end formulation development, from ideation to scale-up and commercial transfer.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and optimize novel formulations and product concepts based on project requirements.
- Develop and optimize formulations for herbal extracts, nutraceuticals, tablets, capsules, syrups, creams, and cosmetics.
- Conduct literature research, pre-formulation trials, and stability studies.
- Collaborate with R&D, QC, and production teams for smooth technology transfer.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (FSSAI, AYUSH, WHO-GMP).
- Prepare detailed documentation — formulation records, batch manufacturing records, etc.
- Innovate and improve existing product lines based on market and technical feedback.
- Evaluate new raw materials and ingredients for functional and formulation compatibility.
- Stay updated with market trends, scientific advancements, and formulation techniques.
Key requirements
- 12–15 years of hands-on formulation experience in the herbal / nutraceutical / cosmetic industry.
- Strong knowledge of herbal actives, excipients, and processing parameters.
- Experience with dosage forms like tablets, capsules, liquids, powders, and topicals.
- Good documentation and data interpretation skills.
- Familiar with regulatory documentation and dossier preparation.
- Exposure to stability protocols and scale-up processes.
Preferred skills
- Knowledge of natural preservatives, bioenhancers, and delivery systems.
- Experience working in a GMP / GLP-compliant setup.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Project planning skills — desirable / good to have.
