HR Associate — Statutory Compliance & Administration

Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and committed HR Executive to manage the complete employee lifecycle and support HR operations at GreenSpace Herbs. The role will involve handling statutory requirements and may require travel to meet labour officials, government departments, and external vendors.

Key responsibilities

1. Recruitment & onboarding

  • Source candidates through portals, referrals, and consultants.
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews with department heads.
  • Prepare offer letters, appointment letters, and onboarding kits.
  • Conduct joining formalities and employee orientation.

2. Employee lifecycle management

  • Maintain employee records in ERP and physical files.
  • Manage confirmations, transfers, promotions, resignations, and exits.
  • Conduct exit interviews and process full & final settlements.

3. HR operations & compliance

  • Ensure timely updating and compliance with statutory norms: PF, ESI, Gratuity, and the Shops & Establishments Act.
  • Handle labour office visits and liaise with government officials as required.
  • Maintain registers and ensure timely returns submission.

4. Attendance, leave & payroll support

  • Monitor biometric attendance, leave records, and late logins.
  • Coordinate with the accounts/payroll team for salary processing.
  • Manage holiday lists, shift schedules, and leave encashments.

5. Employee engagement & communication

  • Support HR initiatives like rewards & recognition, birthday celebrations, and internal communications.

6. Documentation & reporting

  • Prepare HR MIS reports, dashboards, and trackers.

7. Travel for statutory work

  • Visit labour offices, PF/ESIC offices, and other government departments when required.
  • Coordinate with consultants and external agencies for compliance audits.

What you bring

  • 2–5 years of experience in handling core HR functions.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR or a related field.
  • Sound knowledge of statutory compliance and labour laws.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Google Workspace, and HR systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel as per company requirements.
