What is Madhunashini?
Gymnema sylvestre R.Br., known across the Ayurvedic tradition as Madhunashini — literally "the destroyer of sugar" — is a slender, perennial woody climber of the family Asclepiadaceae (now reclassified under Apocynaceae).
